My target 100 kms

Massive thank you

So the start of the run absolutely destroyed me and I was playing catch up the whole run. I put in for 53km but myself and the boys made the decision to pull the pin. I was unable to hold in any fluids, and was vomitting from about 22km . Thanks to everyone for the support and the donation it really means alot, sorry I couldn't get the end result. But Il be back to finish this beast.

Massive thank you

Just like to take the time to thank everyone who has donated so far. It means alot to know people are still willing to get behind good causes Charity's like this have a massive impact on the ability for children to develop and set themselves up for a successful future.

Thank you again

Final run before the big dance

So today is the last run I do before I take on the 100km run, felt very comfortable and well rested now time to jump in some ice baths and practice my yoga skills. 7.62km in 44.12 🥳🥳

Calm before the storm

So just did a nice easy run this morning, I've started the de load and rest time. Time to get the head right and rest the bod before this big boii. 10.88km in 1.01.

Good solid run

That was one of the best runs I've had, the heart rate stayed low, body felt really good and was pretty decent weather to go for a yog. Pretty good pace to have my heart rate lower then usual, 22km in 2.02.

Humidity was intense

Up nice and early to bet the heat, but it wouldn't matter if I got up at 2 it was extremely muggy. Days like today make running long distance all the more difficult, due to the air being thick. Still felt rather good running with the vest on 20km in 1.55. 🤙

Became everything I hate hahaha

So I have official become a flog!
Running with no shirt on is now a thing, titts out for the lads? Nah all jokes aside nipple rash is a thing and it hurts like shit. Bit of a recovery run this morning 16.02km in 1.19. 🤙

The golden M my saviour

So I always enjoy playing coffee roulette in the mornings. But this morning I finally ate the coffee bullet! Lucky for myself the great golden M in Warner was my savings grace after trying my all luck at 7/11 who kindly told me there was no toilets which is a lie. It was probably because I was a sweety mess. The run besides that was 21km in 1.52 🥴🥴

Big stormy boy

So there was some serious hesitation this morning whether to go for a run because of the weather the last couple of days. But I thought stuff it what's the worst that can happen. Well I got absolutely soaked. All part of the journey, knee held up ok.

That's all she wrote

So this morning I got up bright and early to crack out a marathon and boy it was a nice morning to run. So get to about 36km and feel a twing in my left knee, save to say I spent the next 8km running a bit there walking a bit. Till it got to the last km and I could hardly walk. Il rest up and see how it pulls up

Well that was painful

That was by far the most painful 16km I have done. I have these 2 spicey blisters on the arch of my foot that made that horrific. But from the famous words of Chesty Puller "pain is just weakness leaving the body". Il up load photos for evidence.

Fastest half marathon

So I wasn't planning on turning on the burners this morning but it just ended up that way. Did my half marathon in 1.55. And clocked an extra 5kms after that. Over all pretty happy 😊 plus I made some friends on the way.

First one back

So it was the first run back since having little Raya, and felt rather good. Tad warmer then I would like but still an enjoyable run.

Just a little bit heavier

So today was one of those morning's, everything was just that little bit heavier. But I just think of Harley and the struggles he can have with just smells and it's enough to grind on through. 10km in 57.08

21kms

So I was meant to do this earlier in the week, but I had a cowardice moment and only did 10. But with a bit of grit I slogged it out this arvo, in 2.04. Pretty happy with the effort in the vest.

Here we go.

So it's all happening again, get up early as and grind out the runs. Did 15km this morning with my favourite vest in 1.28hr. I'm not trying to break world record times this time just getting the KMs in the legs.

I'm running for Harley

I’m running for autism to help create a world where no-one on the autism spectrum is left behind.

I've set my challenge and I'll be running from Gallipoli Barracks to Maroochydore hotel which is about 100km, in the one hit. Like last time I will be doing this in a weighted vest on the 5th  of November, while raising much needed funds to support people on the autism spectrum.

Since the last run I did we have seen some very great Highs and some terribly low lows. There has been times when you can see the unlimited joy, and the pure frustration. It is all part of the ride, but I will be grinding it out just to raise awareness and start the conversation with people that are going through similar things.

An estimated 1 in every 70 people is on the spectrum. Along with their family members, this means autism is a part of daily life for over a million Australians.

People on the spectrum see, hear, feel and experience the world differently. For many, simply coping with the everyday can lead to confusion, anxiety and isolation.
