We're joining the movement to Run for Autism. But we need your help!

Why are we running 70kms this October? Because 70% of Autistic people face mental health challenges.

For me, this is personal.

When my son Isaac was much younger, he was diagnosed with autism. As a dad, I worried about what the future would hold. Would he be happy? Would people understand him? Would the world give him the space to be himself?

Fast forward to today, Isaac is 11 and thriving. He’s funny, unique, kind and loyal. He loves gaming, works hard at school and has a great bunch of mates. He inspires me every single day with his resilience and grit. He fills me with pride.

And here’s the best part. This fundraiser wasn’t even my idea. His mum mentioned the Run for Autism, and after reflecting on it, Isaac came to me and insisted we take this on together. He wants to raise awareness. He wants to help other people.

So this October, we’re running 70kms for Run for Autism. We’re running towards a more inclusive world where Autistic Australians have the opportunity to thrive.

• life-changing assessments

• autism-specific education

• specialist therapies

• adult community services

It will also give us the motivation we need to keep logging our kilometres as we go the distance throughout October.
