Raising funds to support better mental health supports for Autistic humans
Why am I aiming for us to collectively cover 70km this October? Because 70% of Autistic people face mental health challenges. And I am one of these humans.
I’m working tirelessly towards a more inclusive world where Autistic Australians have the opportunity to thrive.
Please donate now if you are financially able to do so, to not only show support for this fundraiser; but also as an ally to myself and all the other Autistic Australians battling mental health challenges. You’ll be helping more Autistic people in Australia access life-changing assessments, autism-specific education, specialist therapies and adult community services. And if you are on the Spectrum like me, you will understand just how many barriers are in place in terms of accessing these things.
Your support is greatly appreciated. And in light of currently recovering from a very major endometriosis surgery, you guys, my community, will also support me in logging my own movement kilometres, as I go the distance throughout October. So if you can donate, please feel free to write any words you feel might aptly help to raise awareness and spirit of those of us on the Spectrum struggling with immense mental health disorders.

This is my own contribution to the fundraiser. Admittedly, finances are really tough for me as some of you might know; however, this is a cause immediately close to my own heart, being on the Spectrum myself. I can't even imagine how early support access to care, support and diagnostic services could have changed the trajectory of barriers I myself have had to endure. So perhaps we can swap out our take-away coffees for the month, mindfully put on a home brew instead, and utilised the saved pennies to help path a more optimistically inclusive future for Autistic Australians.
