OUR WHY
This October, Dave and I are setting ourselves a challenge: to run a combined 300 kilometres over the month to raise funds and awareness for autistic individuals living with mental health struggles something very close to our hearts.
Our Violet is on the autism spectrum and also lives with mental health challenges. Every day, we watch her face the world with courage and determination, and it’s inspired us to do something meaningful something that gives back to others walking a similar path.
Running has been a big part of my own mental health journey, and now it’s become a way for both Dave and me to show up not just for ourselves, but for her and for others too.
We’re hoping to raise $300, just $1 for every kilometre we run together throughout October. The funds will go toward supporting autistic people who also struggle with mental health because support, understanding, and access to help should never be out of reach.
Whether you can donate, share, or just cheer us on along the way, we’d be so grateful. Every bit counts and helps remind these kids and families that they’re not alone.
