MY WHY

In October, I’m taking on the Run for Autism challenge and running 70 km across the month.

I’m doing this because autism is close to my heart. My grandson, Fletcher, has been diagnosed with autism, and I want to do everything I can to raise awareness, acceptance, and support for children like him and their families.

Running isn’t something that comes naturally to me, but that’s why this challenge is so meaningful. Every kilometre I cover in October will be for Fletcher, for my family, and for everyone who deserves greater understanding and inclusion.

I’m joining the movement to Run for Autism. But I need your help.

Why am I running 70km this October? Because 70% of Autistic people face mental health challenges.

I’m running towards a more inclusive world where Autistic Australians have the opportunity to thrive.

Please donate now and show your support to my fundraiser. You’ll be helping more Autistic people in Australia access life-changing assessments, autism-specific education, specialist therapies and adult community services.

You’ll also give me the motivation I need to log my kilometres as I go the distance throughout October. Donate now to show your support.

Thank you!
