I’m taking on a 70km run to raise awareness and support for people with autism — a cause that hits close to my heart. 

As a passionate Learning Support Officer (LSO), I have the privilege of working closely with amazing kids diagnosed with autism (also undiagnosed but evident) , which gives me a deep, personal understanding of the unique challenges and strengths within the spectrum.

What truly drives me is a heartbreaking statistic: around 70% of individuals with autism struggle with mental health issues. That number scares me — because it’s not just a number. 

This 70km run is more than just a physical challenge. Each kilometre represents that 70% — and my commitment to changing those odds through awareness, education, and compassion.

I’m running to start conversations. I’m running to help others see the world through a different lens. I’m running because we all deserve to be understood, supported, and celebrated.
