Running for a better world for our little man. A world that is more inclusive, understanding and embraces differences.
This October, Fred and I are running for a cause that’s deeply personal.
Our little family has just started a journey of learning, understanding, and growth around neurodivergence. It’s already been eye-opening, at times overwhelming, and emotional. It’s made us passionate about creating a world that embraces Autistic individuals, supports them, and celebrates them for exactly who they are. Because they are worthy of love, joy, and belonging, just as they are.
We’re running because 70% of Autistic people experience significant mental health challenges, often because of the barriers they face, not because of their neurodivergence itself. That statistic is heartbreaking, and we want to be part of changing it.
By supporting Run for Autism, we’re raising funds that go directly toward life changing programs. Diagnostic assessments, autism specific education, specialist therapies, inclusive community services, and research that helps build understanding. These supports can make a world of difference, not just for individuals, but for families, schools, and communities.
We know times are tough. The cost of living crisis is real and affecting so many. We’ve set a fundraising goal that feels both meaningful and achievable, and we’d love to exceed it, but even reaching it would be a huge accomplishment for us and something we’d be so proud of.
Every donation, big or small, means the world to us. You’re not just backing our 70km challenge, you’re showing up for Autistic Australians and helping build a more inclusive future.
Thanks for being part of our journey🤍
