Week 1 Done & Dusted

Hi Folks,
Just a quick update if you are following. Today is kick off day and I've started in style with a 5km Run/Walk Combo (Remember the Caboose isn't what she used to be ;-P)
5km down and only 65km to go!!

Just a quick post to update the all the legends who are following and supporting the old Caboose's activity!! I am genuinely blown away by the generousity of people's donations in support of my 70km run and can't express my gratitude enough.
I started some low key training last week (a fast walk on the treadmill) and have today worked up to a fast walk/run type interval training (3.8km's smashed out this morning). There's a way to go, but the real deal is a couple of months away so still time to build up fitness and stamina. At this stage I'm a bit shy to share any pics/video's of my training, but here is a part of my inspiration x

I’m running 70km this October for the 1 in 70 Australians on the autism spectrum.

Did you know that autism is estimated to affect over 350,000 Australians every day? For children, an early diagnosis is critical. It means more tailored support at home and school, so they can experience the joy of being a different brilliant.

Sadly, there are so many financially disadvantaged families who are currently on the waitlist for urgently needed autism assessments.

That’s why I’m taking on Run for autism. To help children access an early diagnosis, opening doors to specialised support services and giving them the best possible chance to shine!
