I’m joining the movement to Run for Autism. But I need your help.
This October, I am raising money for Autism Spectrum Australia as they aim to raise awareness for the 70% of autistic people who face mental health issues.
I have chosen to run 22km as a very unfit person to represent the 22 years of my wonderful autistic life. I am told that physical exercise is very good for your mental health so it’s a two birds one stone situation. I am proud to be autistic because I think and love deeply, but the world is not autism-friendly, and sometimes this can get me down. I hope to initiate positive change for myself and everyone else on the spectrum by raising money to get us the support we need.Â
If you can, please consider donating now and show your support to my fundraiser. You’ll be helping more Autistic people in Australia access life-changing assessments, autism-specific education, specialist therapies and adult community services.Â
You’ll also give me the motivation I need to log my kilometres as I go the distance throughout October. Donate now to show your support.Â
May I run with the speed of a thousand cheetahs so that the physical torture part is over quicker.Â
Many thanks and all my love and etc.Â
