We're running this October for the 1 in 70 Australians on the autism spectrum.
Autism has been a journey for our family. One of self-discovery and beautiful moments that warm our hearts in a way we could not imagine.
Our son Benny (now 12) was diagnosed with Autism at age 7. He is a light in our life. A light in the lives of all those he meets. The different way in which he approaches the world is something we embrace daily because there is beauty in his individual outlook, one we are proud to be a part of. However, Autism is not without its challenges. Early diagnosis and support services have been such an integral part of Benny's journey.
Sadly, there are so many financially disadvantaged families who are currently on the waitlist for urgently needed autism assessments.
That’s why I’m taking on Run for autism along with Benny's Uncle Chris and his cousin, Kye (who is only 13 and very eager to support such an amazing cause). We’re The Unstoppables and we want to help children access an early diagnosis, opening doors to specialised support services and giving them the best possible chance to shine!
