250km for our boys - Team Panpakes takes on run for autism

This October our family is taking on a huge challenge - running a combined 250km as part of run for autism. 

We’re doing it as team Panpakes, a name inspired by our boys who have always mispronounced pancakes. At this point we’ve given up trying to correct them.

Autism is a huge part of our family’s world. Two of our boys are diagnosed with Autism. They have taught us to see the world differently, to celebrate the things others may overlook, to find joy in very small moments, and to understand every child moves through the world in their own way.

There are beautiful days, hard days, funny (like fall off your chair) days, and days that stretch us more than we thought possible. But through all of them we couldn’t be prouder.

Why are we running 250km this October? Because 70% of Autistic people face mental health challenges.

We're running towards a more inclusive world where Autistic Australians have the opportunity to thrive.
