I’m joining the movement to Run for Autism. But I need your help.

i’m running 70km for autism because this is about so much more than the distance.

it’s about the people. it’s about the little boy or girl who might feel different and not understand why. it’s about the parents who quietly worry about their child’s future, while doing everything they can to give them the love, support and opportunities they deserve. it’s about families who celebrate the little victories that other people might never notice. it’s about being there for people who deserve to feel understood, accepted and loved exactly how they are.

i’m running because i want to be part of something that matters.

i know 70km is going to push me. there will be moment when my legs are heavy, my body is exhausted, but when that happens, i want to remember that this pain is temporary.

for some people and families, the challenges they face aren’t something they can simply stop when they get tired. so when i’m hurting, ill keep going.

i’ll think about the people this run represents. i’ll think about the families behind the cause. i’ll think about how lucky i am to have the ability to put one foot in front of the other and use it to do something meaningful. i don’t expect 70km to change the world. but if it raises a little more awareness, helps someone feel seen, supports a family, starts a conversation, or reminds someone that they are not alone - then every kilometre will have been worth it.
