I’m joining the movement to Run for Autism. But I need your help.

Why am I running 70km this October?

Because 70% of Autistic people experience mental health challenges.

And honestly, I hate running. It makes me uncomfortable, it pushes me outside my comfort zone, and there will definitely be moments where I question why I signed up for this. 😂

But that discomfort is exactly why I’m doing it.

Through my work in early childhood, I’ve seen how important early support can be. I’ve also seen the impact when children don’t get the support, understanding or resources they need early on. The right support can make such a difference in helping children feel understood, supported and confident in who they are.

For many Autistic people, feeling uncomfortable, overwhelmed or misunderstood isn’t something they can simply step away from. It can be part of navigating everyday environments that aren’t always designed with their needs in mind.

So this October, I’m choosing to sit with a little discomfort myself and run 70km to help create a world where Autistic Australians have greater opportunities to be understood, supported and thrive.

Your donation will help support early diagnosis, autism-specific education and critical research into the mental health challenges experienced by Autistic people, helping more people access the support they need to realise their different brilliant®. 💙

And honestly, every donation will also give me a little extra motivation when I’m questioning my life choices halfway through a run. 😂

If you can, please donate and support my fundraiser. Every kilometre and every dollar counts.

Thank you for helping me go the distance !! You can follow along my journey @thebreathdiaries 🏃‍♀️💙
