Courtney Lane

I’m joining the movement to Run for Autism. But I need your help.

Why am I running 100km again this October? I’m taking part in Run for Autism to support my son Noah. Noah is an incredible autistic person who continues to show resilience, strength and courage to combat challenges that he continually faces every day in his life. I am running to not only celebrate the amazing human being that Noah is, but to also raise awareness and understanding of autism.

Autism is no easy feat!! It is a world where small victories for Noah take incredible strength, and everyday moments can feel like a mountain for him to climb. Yet, so often, the challenges that Noah faces, are unseen or misunderstood by loved ones, friends, the outside community and the world. Noah (an autistic person) isn’t something that needs to be “fixed”, he needs to be loved, seen, understood, accepted and supported. Noah has a unique way of seeing and experiencing life, and he deserves to be seen, and not overlooked. This run is for Noah, and to raise money towards building a more inclusive and supportive world for autistic people.

I still have 32kms to run, with only two days to go, so you will give me the motivation to smash through to 100kms, as I go the distance to the end of October. Please donate to show your support, any amount will make a difference in making a change for a better inclusive world for all.

Thank you! xx
