I’m joining the movement to Run for Autism!
Why am I running 70km this October? I'm running for my incredible 8 year old son Atticus. Atti has autism, and is one of the most special people in the world. Every day Atti bravely faces social, mental, communication and sensory processing challenges.
I am not a runner by any means, so this is a real challenge for me, but nothing compares to the difficulties Atti faces every day as he navigates a world that was not set up for him.
I’m running towards a more inclusive world where Autistic Australians have the opportunity to thrive, like my Atti.
Any support big or small means the world to me and Atti. You’ll be helping provide early diagnosis, autism-specific education, and critical research into mental health issues experienced by Autistic people so they can access the support they need to realise their different brilliant®.
You’ll also give me the motivation I need to log my kilometres as I go the distance throughout October.
