I’m joining the movement to Run for Autism. But I need your help.
Why am I running 70km this October?
Because 70% of Autistic people face mental health challenges.
My son was diagnosed with Autism when he was just 2 years old. Living in a small town has made it hard to find the right supports and every day brings its own challenges as we try to navigate a world that still has so much to learn about autism. My boy and all Autistic Australians, deserve the chance to thrive.
Having someone with Autism in my life has shown me how real and difficult these challenges can be from communication struggles, daily life and mental health battles. Families like mine often feel isolated and overwhelmed, which is why this fundraiser is so important.
By supporting this campaign, you’ll be helping Autistic people across Australia access life changing assessments, autism-specific education, specialist therapies, and adult community services that they truly deserve.
Please consider donating and showing your support as we go the distance this October.
Thank you!Â
