💙 Why I’m Running for Autism 💙

I’m taking part in Run for Autism for my beautiful son, Santana, who has Level 3 ASD and is non-verbal.

As his mum, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges, the beautiful moments, the strength, and the incredible uniqueness that comes with raising an autistic child. Santana has taught me that communication comes in so many different forms, and that every child deserves to be understood, supported, included and loved exactly as they are. 💙

I’m running not only for my son, but for all autistic children and their families. I want to help raise awareness, support, acceptance and opportunities for children like Santana to thrive.

Every step I take is for the children who communicate with or without words, for the parents who advocate every single day, and for every autistic child who deserves to know that they belong.

This run is for Santana. This run is for every autistic child. This run is for a more accepting and inclusive world. 💙🧩

Why am I running 70km this October? Because 70% of Autistic people face mental health challenges.

I’m running towards a more inclusive world where Autistic Australians have the opportunity to thrive.
