I’m joining the movement to Run for Autism. But I need your help.
Why am I running 70km this October? For my son Jaiden after his diagnosis of autisum we never really knew what other family's were facing until your child or someone in your family has an Autistic child, you see the world in a completely different way, the stuggles familys have trying to find support is something that only now i understand its not as easy as just sending your child to a main stream school, or just booking an appointment for therapy its long wait list constant battles trying to find help. The wait list for a diagnosis in a public system is year's, private? Thousands, just to get that diagnosis to get your child the help they need. Autisum isn't something that can be cured in the younger years it's a life long journey that needs so much support from family, friends, therapy and everything else in between. 70% of Autistic people also face mental health challenges.
So I’m running towards a more inclusive world where Autistic Australians have the opportunity to thrive.
Please donate now and show your support to my fundraiser. You’ll be helping more Autistic people in Australia access life-changing assessments, autism-specific education, specialist therapies and adult community services.
You’ll also give me the motivation I need to log my kilometres as I go the distance throughout October. Donate now to show your support.
Thank you!
