Running for Autism Acceptance

Running for Autism Acceptance 💙

I’m autistic, and for years I carried the weight of being misunderstood. That’s why I’m running 35 km this October to help create a world where autistic people are accepted, understood, and supported from the very beginning.

Growing up without that understanding led to challenges that affected my confidence, my mental health, and the way I saw myself. It took years to learn that I wasn’t “too much” or “not enough”—my brain simply works differently.

Every donation will help fund practical support such as earlier autism assessments, autism-specific classroom resources, advocacy services for families, and research into anxiety, burnout, and other mental health challenges many autistic people face. These are the kinds of supports that can help a child get the right help sooner, give parents clearer guidance, and make everyday life more manageable for autistic people.

Every kilometre I run is a step towards greater acceptance. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps make a difference and motivates me to keep going.

Thank you for supporting not only my challenge, but a future where autistic people don’t have to spend years feeling misunderstood. Your kindness means more than you know. 💙
