I honestly can't believe it!!! 😅

Today I completed 99.8% of my 35km and I still have until the end of October to keep going.

66.7% of my goal!

Today I hit 66.7% of my total goal. That's 23km I have now run in 3 weeks.
A bit of background on me if you don't already know. I wasted a chunk of my life stuck in addiction making unhealthy choices for myself.
In 2023 I chose sobriety and gave birth to my 3rd child. I alienated myself for a few years and struggled on and off with depression.
I found reconnection through NA and started socializing again and began to find myself as a person.
At the Start of the year I noticed my toddler struggling with dysregulation and overstimulation. So we have begun our ASD assessment journey (early days) to learn how to better be there for my child I began research to learn every possible thing I could to help support her.
During this I have also received a spectrum diagnosis for myself. A lot of my life now makes sense and it feels empowering to be able to have found a way to quiet my mind with exercise. It is now my favorite part of the day!
Doing this means a lot to me and is a cause close to my heart ❤️

14km done 👍🏼

Each time I'm surprising myself by how long I can keep moving. Adding on another 10 minutes and another kilometre.

1 week 9km!

First week is done ✅ and I have managed to clock up 9km. Now for me that is impressive 😁

Another 2km total of 6km now

Why have I avoided exercise all my life?? A month ago I was a couch potato 🥔 and within not even a week of signing up to run and fundraise for autism and I'm finding it the best part of my day. I feel proud of myself after so many years of being immensely self critical. I'm helping myself and other 😁💙💛💙💛

This seems too easy....

I haven't set personal challenges for myself in a very long time. And I am actually enjoying this so much! Another 2km done. Thinking if I reach my 35km before the end of the fundraiser I am going to up the distance.

The first 2.75km

I've been keen since registering to start racking up my klms. This afternoon I got the chance. Tunes on and away I went 😅

I’m joining the movement to Run for Autism. But I need your help.

Why am I running 70km this October? Because 70% of Autistic people face mental health challenges.

I’m running towards a more inclusive world where Autistic Australians have the opportunity to thrive.

Please donate now and show your support to my fundraiser.  You’ll be helping provide early diagnosis, autism-specific education, and critical research into mental health issues experienced by Autistic people so they can access the support they need to realise their different brilliant®.

You’ll also give me the motivation I need to log my kilometres as I go the distance throughout October. Donate now to show your support.

Thank you!
