Why I’m Running ♾️🤍

I’m doing Run for Autism for my beautiful girl, Ariella.

I am running 70km's in October to help represent the 70% of Autistic people that face mental health challenges.

I’m running towards a more inclusive world where Autistic Australians have the opportunity to thrive. Being Ariella’s mum has changed the way I see so many things. She has taught me to slow down, to listen differently, to celebrate the little things that are actually really big things, and to understand that she is wonderfully wired in the best ways possible.

A huge part of why I started Wonderfully Wired was because I wanted to create something for her. A space where I could share our experiences, raise awareness and, most importantly, celebrate Ariella for exactly who she is.

So, this October, I’m putting in the kilometres for her. 🤍

I’m also doing it for the wider autistic community and the families walking their own journeys. I’m proud that the funds we raise will support Aspect and programs for autistic people and their families, including initiatives around mental health, wellbeing and community connection.

She is the reason behind Wonderfully Wired, and she’s the reason behind every kilometre I’ll be doing this October. ♾️🤍
