But what is the money raised for?
Around 70% of Autistic people experience mental health challenges beyond the challenge Autism itself presents. More funds are needed to provide programs & early diagnoses, so more Autistic people in Australia can get support sooner.
When a child on the autism spectrum gets that support early, it significantly helps with their social & educational development. For an Autistic adult, specialist support can improve quality of life & provide them with a greater understanding of themselves & others that they may not have had access to as a child.
