My why
Most people who know me probably already know that autism is something I’m incredibly passionate about. It isn’t just a cause I’ve chosen to support, it’s part of my everyday life. I’m autistic, and so are my children.
I know firsthand that the world isn’t really built for autistic people. So many things that are considered “normal” can be overwhelming, inaccessible or completely exhausting when your brain and nervous system experience the world differently.
I’ve seen both the challenges and the absolute beauty that comes with being autistic. And I want my kids and the kids I educate to grow up in a world that understands them, accommodates them and celebrates who they are, rather than constantly expecting them to fit into a world that wasn’t designed for them.
With significant changes to the NDIS coming (people who know me hear me rant about this A LOT 😂), supporting autistic people and their families feels more important than ever. Funding research, support, advocacy and organisations that work to improve the lives of autistic people matters and the more money we can raise, the more we can contribute to that work.
So next month I’m taking on Run for Autism - 70km over the month. 🏃♀️
I am not a runner AT ALL so this will be a big challenge for me but I’m excited to push myself for something I am so passionate about.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps. If you’re able to donate, share my fundraising page, or even just cheer me on while I attempt to convince my legs that running was a good idea 😂, I’d be so grateful.
This one is personal. This is my why. 💙
I’m joining the movement to Run for Autism. But I need your help.
Why am I running 70km this October? Because 70% of Autistic people face mental health challenges. As most people close to me know this holds a special place in my heart with me and my kids all being autistic and my passion is to help young autistic kids grow and thrive in a world that doesn’t accommodate them like it should.
I’m running towards a more inclusive world where Autistic Australians have the opportunity to thrive.
Please donate now and show your support to my fundraiser. You’ll be helping provide early diagnosis, autism-specific education, and critical research into mental health issues experienced by Autistic people so they can access the support they need to realise their different brilliant®.
You’ll also give me the motivation I need to log my kilometres as I go the distance throughout October. Donate now to show your support.
Thank you!

Go you good thing
