From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. 💙

I honestly didn’t expect to receive this much love and support, and seeing every donation come through has meant more to our family than I can put into words.

I started this fundraiser because of my beautiful boy, Zachariah, who is almost 5, Level 3 autistic and non-verbal. But this run is bigger than just Zac. It’s for every child on the spectrum, every family fighting for their child, and every parent doing everything they can to make sure their child receives the support, therapy and opportunities they deserve.

This year has shown us just how important these supports are. We’ve watched Zac work so incredibly hard through intensive therapy, and seeing his progress reminds us why we keep going, even through the difficult days.

Every donation, share and message of encouragement means so much to us. Whether you donated a little or a lot, please know that you have helped us raise awareness and stand behind a cause that is so close to our hearts.

Why I choose to do the Run for Autism

I’m running for autism for someone who means more to me than words could ever explain — my beautiful son, Zachariah. 💙

Zachariah is almost 5 years old, has Level 3 autism and is non-verbal. He may not speak with words, but he communicates in so many other beautiful ways. Being his mum has opened my eyes to a completely different world and has taught me patience, strength, understanding and a kind of love I never knew existed.

Our journey hasn’t always been easy. There are challenges, hard days and moments where I wish I could understand exactly what he is thinking or feeling. But there are also the most beautiful moments — the little achievements that may seem small to others but mean absolutely everything to us.

I’m not running because I want to change my son. I’m running because I want the world to understand him. I want him to grow up in a world where he is included, supported and accepted exactly as he is.

And I’m doing this for every other person with autism and every family who knows the love, challenges, worries and victories that come with this journey.

Every step I take is for my boy, and for every person with autism — to be seen, understood, accepted and celebrated. 💙
