My why!

I have just signed up to take part in a challenge this October to run 70 kilometres in support of Autism Awareness and Mental Health.

Why am I running 70km this October? Because 70% of Autistic people experience mental health challenges. I’m running towards a more inclusive world where Autistic Australians have the opportunity to thrive.

This cause is particularly close to my heart because autism is something my family navigates every day with our son. Through our own experiences, we have seen both the challenges and the incredible strengths that come with autism. Supporting initiatives that improve understanding, provide access to services, and help families receive the support they need means a great deal to us.

I'm fundraising to help provide:

  • Early diagnosis and intervention
  • Autism-specific education and support
  • Critical research into mental health challenges experienced by Autistic people

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference and help create opportunities for Autistic Australians to access the support they need to reach their full potential.

I know many of you already contribute to a variety of other charities and causes, so please do not feel obliged to donate. If you would like to support the cause, I’d be incredibly grateful for your contribution as I work towards both my fundraising goal and completing the 70km challenge throughout October. Whether you choose to donate, sharing the fundraiser with others or simply cheer me on, your support means a lot to me and my family.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and encouragement.

I’m joining the movement to Run for Autism. But I need your help.

Why am I running 70km this October? Because 70% of Autistic people face mental health challenges.

I’m running towards a more inclusive world where Autistic Australians have the opportunity to thrive.

Please donate now and show your support to my fundraiser.  You’ll be helping provide early diagnosis, autism-specific education, and critical research into mental health issues experienced by Autistic people so they can access the support they need to realise their different brilliant®.

You’ll also give me the motivation I need to log my kilometres as I go the distance throughout October. Donate now to show your support.

Thank you!
