This Month we run 70kms each for our little girl 💜
Neither of us are really runners and honestly we aren’t even sure where we are going to find the extra time to run 70kms 😂
Earlier this year, our beautiful daughter Aleea was diagnosed with ASD Level 2.
Like most parents, we never imagined that our parenting journey would look quite like this. It’s meant learning a lot, adapting a lot and finding new ways to understand and support our princess.
Parenting a child with autism can be really hard some days. There are challenges that can feel so overwhelming but there are also so many beautiful moments. We’ve learned to celebrate the little wins, focusing on how far she has come, what an amazing big sister she is, how good she is at drawing and colouring in, over the things she has trouble with.
We now see the world a little differently and want to do our part to spread awareness, raise some money to help ensure others just like our daughter have access to the supports they need to help them thrive.
We hope with some awareness and education the world will be kind to our girl as she grows up 🩷
We might not be runners, but we’re prioritising doing this together, for our girl. 💜
