My Reason Why!

Over the past few months, life has looked very different than I ever expected.

Between navigating some significant health challenges and then welcoming our beautiful baby girl into the world just over a week ago, I’ve been reminded just how precious our health really is, both physically and mentally.

As I begin this new chapter of motherhood yet again, I’ve decided to take on something that is incredibly close to my heart: Run for Autism.

This isn’t just another fundraiser for me.

Growing up alongside my brother, Nicholas, who is on the autism spectrum, has given me a perspective that many people don’t get to experience. I’ve seen the incredible strengths, resilience, and unique way he sees the world. But I’ve also seen the challenges that can come with it, particularly when it comes to mental health, inclusion, and feeling understood.

Mental health matters for all of us, but for autistic individuals, the right support can make a life-changing difference.

After everything my family has experienced recently, I wanted to channel my gratitude into something meaningful. Every step I take will be for my brother, for families navigating similar journeys, and for every autistic person who deserves to feel supported, accepted, and empowered.

If you’re in a position to support my fundraising efforts, whether that’s through a donation, sharing my page, or simply cheering me on, it would mean more than you know.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps create a future where autistic Australians and their families have access to the support they deserve.

I’m joining the movement to Run for Autism. But I need your help.

Why am I running 70km this October? Because 70% of Autistic people face mental health challenges.

I’m running towards a more inclusive world where Autistic Australians have the opportunity to thrive.

Please donate now and show your support to my fundraiser.  You’ll be helping provide early diagnosis, autism-specific education, and critical research into mental health issues experienced by Autistic people so they can access the support they need to realise their different brilliant®.

You’ll also give me the motivation I need to log my kilometres as I go the distance throughout October. Donate now to show your support.

Thank you!
